Dear Fourth Grade Families,
At this point in the year, we wanted to review the fourth grade homework routine. Students receive a monthly homework calendar, which they should refer to each night. Additional copies of the homework calendar are provided below, if you would like to print one for your refrigerator.
WEEKLY HOMEWORK:
|
In addition to the weekly homework routine, fourth graders will have long-term projects assigned throughout the year. For example, the Opening the Doors project.
It is very important that your child grows as a reader and mathematician at home as well as at school. Below are additional homework options that we highly encourage children to do.
HOMEWORK OPTIONS:
- Math Fact Practice
- Have your child make and practice fact cards or use an app to become more fluent with their math facts.
- Students take weekly timed assessments (Beat Your Best), and should be improving each week.
- iReady
- Students can work on reading and math concepts at their level.
- This is a research-based program that differentiates lessons and work for each child to reinforce computer literacy skills.
- TTL4 (Type to Learn 4)
- Students practice keyboarding.
- This site has instructional modules and exciting typing activities and games to reinforce keyboarding skills.
